Looking for a place to get away from it all? Want to relax in a hammock by the fire with the sounds of the rushing North Toe River in the background and North Carolina mountain wildlife nearby? Are you looking for a friendly atmosphere to set up camp, mix and mingle with others or find your own private serenity?

The getaway you are looking for is a primitive tent camping facility called Loafer's Glory Campground.

Loafer's Glory Campground provides beautiful riverfront camping sites, picnic tables, full bathhouse facilities, a small campground store and more! We welcome groups and will help you plan your outing!

River activities include tubing, rafting, funyaks, sit-on-tops, or whatever floating mechanism you prefer! Fish are abundant and catching your own fresh fish dinner is always exciting and enjoyable!

The office and campground store are located at the entrance. The store stocks the "basics" such as ice, fire wood, matches, tackle, rods, some food and drinks and more. Also available is a small library & board games. Boat rentals and Internet access are available.

Popups, small campers and small RV's are welcome.

There are no hookups or dump stations.
